legal
terms of use
effective 2026-05-03
By creating an adbtd account or using the service, you agree to these terms. They are short on purpose. If anything is unclear, ask before signing up.
the service
adbtd provides email infrastructure: mailboxes, dedicated outbound IPs, and the SMTP, IMAP, DNS, and warmup that make them work. We run, monitor, and maintain the underlying servers. You are the account holder; the mailboxes belong to you.
your account
- You must be at least 18 and able to enter a contract.
- Account credentials are yours to protect. You are responsible for everything done through your account, whether by you or by anyone you let in.
- One workspace per legal entity is the intent. Multiple workspaces for the same entity are allowed but must be honest (no creating extra workspaces to evade limits or reputation history).
- The information you give us at signup must be accurate. Tell us if it changes.
acceptable use
Email is a shared resource and abuse damages everyone on a given IP range. You agree not to:
- send unsolicited bulk email (spam) or buy / scrape / rent recipient lists
- send phishing, malware, fraud, harassment, illegal content, or anything you would be embarrassed to defend in writing
- relay through us on behalf of a third party without our written consent
- attempt to bypass rate limits, reputation safeguards, or per-mailbox sending caps
- probe, scan, reverse-engineer, or load-test the service without arranging it with us first
- run mail flows that violate the laws applicable to you, your recipients, or France
We monitor bounce rates, complaint rates, and external blocklists. If your workspace crosses thresholds, we will pause your sending and contact you. Repeat or severe abuse ends the account.
pricing and billing
Each mailbox costs 1.99 per month and each dedicated IP costs 19 per month, in the currency you chose at first checkout (USD, EUR, or GBP — the same number applies across all three). Every workspace runs on at least one dedicated IP; we do not operate a shared sending pool. Billing happens monthly through Stripe, and Stripe Tax computes any VAT or sales tax due in your country.
You can cancel at any time. Cancellation stops the next renewal but does not refund the current month. If you reduce mailboxes or IPs mid-cycle, the unused portion is credited against your next invoice rather than refunded to your card. If a payment fails, we will retry it and notify you; if it remains unpaid we will pause new sending until the account is brought current.
We may change our prices for new orders at any time. If we change the price of a plan you already subscribe to, we will notify you by email at least 30 days in advance, and you can cancel before the new price applies if you disagree with it.
your content
You own your mail. We claim no rights over message content, headers, contact lists, or attachments. We process them only to deliver, secure, and run the service. See the privacy policy for the full picture.
service availability
We aim for high availability and treat outages seriously, but we do not yet publish a contractual SLA with credits. The current target is best-effort operation with transparent post-mortems. Expect maintenance windows; we will announce planned ones in advance to account holders.
termination
You can close your account at any time by emailing koren@pukogames.com. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, abuse the service, leave invoices unpaid, or are used in a way that puts other tenants at risk. When an account ends, we delete its mailboxes and the data tied to them; please export anything you want to keep before you close it. Invoices are retained for the period required by French tax law.
warranty and liability
The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the service is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, including lost profits, lost reputation, or third-party deliverability decisions outside our control.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under French law, including liability for fraud or for personal injury caused by negligence.
law and disputes
These terms are governed by French law. Disputes go to the competent courts of France. If you are a consumer, you keep the protections of the mandatory consumer law of your country of residence.
changes
We may update these terms. If a change materially affects your rights, we will email account holders at least 30 days before it takes effect, and you may cancel before then if you disagree. Continued use after the effective date counts as acceptance.
