adbtd vs Maildoso: rotating pool or your own IP

Maildoso and adbtd both run their own SMTP infrastructure instead of reselling Google or Microsoft seats. They take opposite views on IPs: Maildoso rotates your mail through a managed shared pool on purpose, adbtd pins it to a dedicated IP that only you use.

Disclosure: this page is published by adbtd. We tried to describe Maildoso the way its own website does, and every price below links to the page we read it on. If something has changed, email hi@adbtd.com and we will correct it.

The short version

Maildoso operates its own sending infrastructure and sells SMTP mailboxes at aggressive volume prices: $2.50 per mailbox up to 224 mailboxes, $0.75 from 225 and $0.50 from 925, or packages of 30, 300 and 1,000 mailboxes. Its help center is explicit that there is no dedicated IP option: “all sending goes through a backend-managed IP pool that is actively monitored and rotated,” and it argues a static dedicated IP “accumulates negative signals and burns out quickly.”

adbtd takes the other position: one IP, assigned to you, with a stable PTR record and a reputation you can watch in Google Postmaster Tools and Microsoft SNDS. That means warming the IP up and owning the result.

Maildoso is the cheaper option for very large, B2B-only outbound where you are comfortable with tight per-mailbox caps. adbtd is the better fit when you want stable, inspectable infrastructure, higher per-mailbox headroom, or mailboxes that also serve replies, transactional mail or AI agents.

Prices as of October 2026, in USD, monthly billing, before tax. adbtd: $1.99 per mailbox and $19 per dedicated IP, nothing else; the IP count is your choice (minimum one). Maildoso: prices from its pricing page and help center; domains are $15/yr each. Its sending rules allow 15 cold emails per mailbox per day, so the same daily volume needs more Maildoso mailboxes than it would elsewhere.

Where adbtd and Maildoso differ

Rotating pool vs dedicated IP

Maildoso’s argument is that a rotating pool spreads risk: if one IP picks up negative signals, traffic moves elsewhere and burned mailboxes are paused and returned later. That is a coherent design, and it means you never think about IP reputation.

The trade-off is visibility and stability. Maildoso does not publish its sending IPs, and its help center notes that reverse DNS “may appear missing or generic because of the frequent IP changes.” With adbtd your IP keeps a stable PTR record, Google and Microsoft can attribute a consistent history to it, and you can see that history yourself. You trade automatic rotation for a reputation you own.

Per-mailbox caps change the maths

Maildoso’s terms cap cold sending at 15 emails per mailbox per day including follow-ups, and deactivate any mailbox that sends more than 100 a day. That is conservative and partly explains the low unit price: you need more mailboxes for the same volume.

adbtd enforces no per-mailbox cap. We recommend a ramp and around 30 cold emails per mailbox per day once warm, but the number is yours. For the same daily volume you will usually run fewer adbtd mailboxes, which narrows the price gap at the low end and changes it at the high end.

Cold-only mailboxes vs general-purpose mail

Maildoso is built for one job, B2B cold outreach, and its terms say so: no sending to personal mailboxes such as Gmail or Yahoo, a global tracking domain shared across accounts, mailboxes meant to be driven by a sequencer.

adbtd mailboxes are ordinary, complete mailboxes on your own server: IMAP, SMTP, webmail, forwarding, inbound webhooks, and an API and MCP server for automation. The same account can carry outbound, the replies to it, and transactional mail on a separate IP.

When Maildoso is the better choice

Maildoso is hard to beat on price at scale. It is probably the better choice if:

  • You need hundreds or thousands of mailboxes on a budget. 1,000 mailboxes for $499 a month is far below what adbtd costs at that size.
  • You would rather not manage IP reputation at all. Rotation, self-healing mailboxes and replacement domains under Maildoso’s inbox-placement commitment take that off your plate.
  • Your outreach is strictly B2B and low volume per mailbox. If 15 cold emails per mailbox per day fits your playbook, the caps cost you nothing.
  • You want one-click exports to many sequencers. Maildoso exports to nine sequencers natively; adbtd gives you SMTP / IMAP credentials to paste in.

Why teams switch from Maildoso to adbtd

  • A stable IP they can inspect. Consistent PTR, Postmaster and SNDS data for their own traffic, and blocklist monitoring of an address that does not change under them.
  • Room per mailbox. No 15-per-day ceiling and no automatic deactivation; the ramp is their decision.
  • Mailboxes that do more than outbound. Webmail, forwarding, inbound webhooks and transactional mail on the same account, on separate IPs if they like.
  • Their domains stay at their registrar. adbtd never registers domains on your behalf; you keep them where they are and publish the records we generate.

Before you move anything, send a real message from your current setup to check.adbtd.com and keep the score: it is a free baseline to compare against after the switch. The full price list is on the pricing page, and the cold email infrastructure setup guide walks through domains, warmup and the Google / Yahoo / Microsoft sender rules.

Frequently asked

Does Maildoso offer dedicated IPs?

No. Maildoso’s help center says there is no option to pin mailboxes to a dedicated IP; all sending goes through a managed, rotating IP pool. adbtd gives every account at least one dedicated IP.

How many emails can a Maildoso mailbox send per day?

Maildoso’s terms allow up to 15 cold emails per mailbox per day including follow-ups, and a mailbox is deactivated if it sends more than 100 emails in a day. adbtd does not enforce a per-mailbox cap.

Is adbtd cheaper than Maildoso?

At 50 mailboxes the two are close ($118.50 with one IP on adbtd, $125 on Maildoso). At 10 mailboxes Maildoso is cheaper ($25 vs $38.90) and at 200 or more it is much cheaper, because its rate drops to $0.75 from 225 mailboxes. Prices as of October 2026.

Can I use adbtd mailboxes with Instantly or Smartlead?

Yes. Every adbtd mailbox has standard SMTP and IMAP credentials, which any sequencer accepts. There is no one-click export, so you add them through the tool’s SMTP / IMAP option or bulk import.
